The Caterpillar 910E wheel loader was introduced in 1990. It was manufactured in Japan only.

The 910E has a 3114 direct injection turbo engine producing 75 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It has a four speeds forward, three reverse powershift countershaft transmission with four-wheel drive. It comes standard with inboard axles and brakes, sealed Z-bar linkage, and modified operator’s station.

The 910E was manufactured in Japan, with a 1SF or 1YK serial number prefix.

Production of 1YK ended in 1992.

In 1992, Caterpillar introduced the 910F wheel loader, which was simply a modified 1SF unit. Cat modified the steering, added a larger fuel tank, and increased the horsepower to 80 FWHP, beginning with 1SF01104.

Production of 1SF ended in 1995.

In 1996, Caterpillar introduced a new 910F unit, with a 3046 engine with powershift transmission. It had a 2SS prefix.

Based on data from the sales database of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, it is estimated that more than 5,100 Caterpillar 910E and 910F wheel loaders have been produced.
