Caterpillar D8T
The Caterpillar D8T crawler tractor was introduced in 2004 in the USA as a replacement for the D8R. Production began in Brazil a year later.

[edit] Features

The D8T has a Caterpillar C15 engine, with advanced combustion emissions reduction technology (ACERT) and an air-to-air after cooler (ATAAC), producing 310 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It comes standard with an advanced modular cooling system (AMOCS), torque divider with free wheel stator, a three speeds forward, three reverse powershift transmission and differential steering. It is equipped with straight (S), angle (A), and semi-U (SU) dozer blades.

The D8T was manufactured in the USA, with a KPZ serial number prefix, and in Brazil, with a J8B prefix.

Based on data from the sales database of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, it is estimated that more than 1,600 Caterpillar D8T crawler tractors have been produced.
