[edit] History

When Goldoni wass established in 1926, they were in the business of producing irrigation pumps. These pumps were the most efficient of the day. It wasn’t until 1950 before Goldoni produced their first tractor.  Six years later, in 1956, they launched their first motor-cultivator. By the late 1960’s, Goldoni’s had stopped producing irrigation pumps all together and focused exclusively on the production of cultivators for vineyards and orchards.[3]

From the years 1987-1997, John Deere had an arrangement to sell Goldoni orchard cultivators and other small tractors under the John Deere brand name. These pieces ranged from 21-67hp, and took on John Deere’s trademark green and yellow.[4]

[edit] The Current Situation

Goldoni’s headquarters are still located in Modena, Italy. The company employs 400 people in a colossal 1.4 million sq. ft. manufacturing plant[5].  Here they produce 13,000 tractors per year.[6]
